Crystle Acquires 1978 Airstream for his US Senate Campaign

"Drive For Democracy" To Deliver Bus After Cross-Country Grassroots Tour

Lancaster, Pa - US Senate Charlie Crystle purchased a 1978 Airstream that will serve as a mobile office campaign vehicle. "I loved the concept of Paul Wellstone's big green school bus, with which he built his principles-based grass roots campaign to win the Senate in Minnesota. I want our bus to be more than a living room on wheels; it's really about inspiring action in Pennsylvania, helping people act now to improve their communities and lives, and inspiring hope among people burned-out by politics as usual," said Crystle.

Charlie Crystle, needing the Airstream to be transported from its location in Los Angeles to Pennsylvania, offered the use of the bus to Howard Dean's Presidential campaign. "I'm thrilled the Dean campaign is taking their grassroots campaign to the road on our bus and helping to get it to Pennsylvania," said Crystle.

On Tuesday, Dean staffers Zephyr Teachout and Ryan Davis boarded the Airstream Bus in Los Angeles, beginning a six-week cross-country voyage aboard the yet un-named campaign vehicle in their "Drive For Democracy" tour. The duo will be documenting their travels on Dean's campaign blog at: www.BlogforAmerica.com

Teachout and Davis will be traveling the country making daily stops while campaigning for Governor Dean, before finishing up their trip in Pennsylvania in mid-December, and turning over the keys to the Crystle campaign.

Crystle will officially kick off his campaign in mid December when he launches his "Out in the Cold" tour. Charlie Crystle, 36, founded startup Chili!Soft, a software company now owned by Sun Micro [SUNW].

I think offering the bus to the Dean campaign for their temporary use was a brilliant idea. I see a lot of the creativity that is driving the Dean campaign in this campaign.
