The Long and Not-So-Winding Road Again.
Last week I stayed off the road--I had the flu that lasted until Saturday. So today I get back on the road, though not with a geographically logical schedule. I'm speaking in Conshohocken around noon and then heading all the way to Pittsburgh on 76, which ain't no route 66. It's a great state, a big state. A great big state! Tomorrow I head to Erie, and then Thursday we're changing plans a bit and I'll head back to Central PA for what looks like will be a bit of a bar-room brawl over the economy. Details on that as they unfold... Tomorrow we're releasing my statement on the Drug War. I believe it's a complete failure and that we should declare victory and get out, treat addiction like a disease and not a crime, and find a reasonable way to take the economics out of the drug trade. What do you think? I thoroughly enjoyed reading everyones opinion on these matters. Posted by: Online Casino Games at June 16, 2004 08:57 PMFrom a hardcore conservative/libertarian Republican who happened across your blog ... one issue we've got agreement on! Legalize marijuana - do you know anyone who ever O.D.'d on pot? Don't know about harder drugs. Let employers, not government, regulate drug use among their employees and decide what they can and cannot tolerate - and let adults be responsible both for their own behavior and the consequences. Posted by: ExHack at December 7, 2003 04:20 AMWow, sounds like a plan, best wishes to Dave. Posted by: Sam at December 3, 2003 10:33 PMDave has moved on and is working on another campaign. We salute him and his efforts to help get the campaign off the ground. We're moving toward a less traditional model, more distributed, more grass roots. In January we'll have a full-time blogger on the campaign trail. The blog will be more about the behind-the-scenes story, while the main site will become more of my blog. The Lancaster HQ will become a telephone bank and volunteer office, staffed only by vols, and we'll open offices in Pittsburgh, Erie, State College, Scranton, and Philly. Posted by: Charlie Crystle at December 2, 2003 05:19 PMA total failure, for sure. Charlie, your blog rocks. Where's Dave been? Posted by: Sam at December 2, 2003 05:10 PMPost a comment
