You'd think I'm just spinning this one. Not so.

According to the LA Times:

"Outsourcing is just a new way of doing international trade," said N. Gregory Mankiw, chairman of Bush's Council of Economic Advisors, which prepared the report.

Yes. It's also a new way of screwing the American people. It's assumptive that all international trade is a good thing. Well, I'd say illegal international trade (in the case of, oh, say, China) is a bad thing. And trade with countries that allow thousands of people to be sold into sex slavery (oh, say, India?) , well, that's not so good either.

"Maybe we will outsource a few radiologists," Mankiw told reporters.

And 750,00 technology jobs. And a few million manufacturing jobs. Folks, it's up to you. What kind of country do you want this to be? (Choose one)

a) The kind where our communities suffer with high unemployment, high numbers of bankruptcies, high foreclosure rates, and high local taxes as we lose good quality jobs to both illegal and legal but damaging trade practices that benefit only those seeking greater profits at your expense, or

b) a country with lower unemployment, quality jobs, fair trade practices, free market competition, economic justice, and stronger communities?

Republicans, Democrats, Greens--we must get this administration out of office. These guys just don't get it. Or they just don't care. Either way, they've got to go.
