The Week Ahead
It almost seems as though I'm back on the campaign trail with a week full of events around trade and healthcare. On Tuesday I'll be speaking at a rally in front of Earthlink about offshoring with Rep. Mike McGeehan. Later that day Chris and I will head to New York to talk with the UW about expanding the food stamp project across the country, with time left over to see my good friend Michael Whalen give a rare concert performance. On Wednesday between 4 and 6 pm I'll be on WHP 580, once again talking about the offshoring issue. Apparently the host and the other guest are for it. If I can get their home addresses I'll let you know. Then on Friday I'm making the trip to Pittsburgh for Saturday's PUSHNOW legislative meeting. If you're in the Pittsburgh area please come by around 12, join a committee, and press the cause for health justice. Announcement: If you are interested in catalyzing a local grass roots movement around universal health care, please let me know and we'll work together to get your local group going. Thanks!

The more irritated he becomes at modern art the more he betrays the fact that he himself, and his civilization, are implicated in what the artist shows him. Mr. Crystle: I invite you to consider the American HealthCare Party web site www.americanhealthcareparty.org We are recruiting candidates for the House and the US Senate prepared to run on the single issue of universal, single payer, non-government, and segregated funds platform - with the health reform kickers including abolishing the existing malpractice mess and replacing it with a faster and fairer system. The collective reforms are called the UniCoverage Program and I suspect you will like what you see. Our philosophy is that the existing parties will not make the changes required until they are threatened by a credible third party movement. We hope that tripartisanship will do what bipartisanship has not. This year Pa., in 2006 the whole USA, and in 2008 all federal offices including the presidency. We call it a political barnraising - once the health care barn is built everybody can go back to politics as usual - until then, THIS is the issue that touches every American. Hope to see you Saturday. Steve Larchuk Post a comment
